History
Under sponsorship from the Office of Naval Research (ONR), OTIS began development in December 2000. This initial release resulted in a proof-of-concept system designed to track ordnance movements on existing and planned Navy aircraft carriers.Process
As an agent-based decision-support tool, OTIS accelerates the decision-making process by monitoring the movement of ordnance and providing near real-time decision assistance to ordnance planners. An objectified picture of the decision environment allows OTIS to increase the visibility of weapons movement and accelerate delivery tempo. Technology
OTIS is based upon the Integrated Cooperative Decision Making (ICDM) framework.
